We’re sending another box to the Bra Recyclers

Yesterday we sent another box full of bras to the Bra Recyclers to be distributed to women around the world. This is such a worthy cause. Thank you for all your generous donations!

By the way, this is a year-round program here at SISTERS, so spread the word! And thanks for your support!

Ask Yourself These Three Questions

Here are the 3 questions you must ask yourself for each piece of clothing that you put in your closet:
1) Do I love it?
2) Is it flattering?
3) Does it correspond with the image I want to project?
If you can answer YES to all 3 questions, then keep it. If not, it does not belong in your closet!

How to Get Rid of Stains

So often we get really beautiful clothing in that we would take in a minute if it weren’t for a stain or spot somewhere on the garment. I’m often at a loss at what to suggest to the consignor for getting it out.

Well, I found some great info today-9 solutions for getting stains out using items you already have:

  1. Meat tenderizer
  2. Aspirin
  3. Dish soap
  4. Salt
  5. Lemons
  6. Vinegar
  7. Baking soda
  8. Ammonia
  9. Cold water

Bra Recycling

Here at SISTERS, we are all about the re-use of items so that they don’t have to get thrown away. To that purpose, we have started a Bra Donations program.

Bring us your clean, functional bras, and we’ll send them to The Bra Recyclers in Arizona. From there, they’ll get distributed all over the world to women who need them.

We are excited about this amazing program. Check out their website at www.brarecycling.com for more info.

First, identify your baggage

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • Oh, that was from my thin days, but I’ll get there again.
  • My grandmother gave me that. I spent too much money on that.
  • That reminds me of when I was young and carefree.
  • I’ve only worn that once.
  • One day I’m going to get the job I’ve always wanted and I’ll need that.

If you’re not wearing it, pass it on! Friends, family, consignment stores, charities. Let go of the baggage, and make room for the items that make you happy and you want to wear!
